Toronto, Canada, January 26th, 2007:
Today the PublicRoot Representative called together the
members and directors of the
Top Level Domain Association (TLDA). The
TLDA is a trade association of Internet Top
Level Domain (TLD) holders. The organization established in
2001 represents the interests of TLD Holders. It seeks to foster
cooperation among TLD holders to advance the cause of building a stable
namespace.
Joe Baptista the PublicRoot Representative expressed his concerns that TLD
Holders in the UnifiedRoot, UNIDT, NewRoot and INAIC were defrauded of
services and sold a non existent product, being Top Level Domains. The
organizations involved claimed to have the right to sell inclusive
namespace TLDs but failed to obtain the necessary authorization from
the TLDA.
"Its time the community take on the task of protecting the interests of
all TLD Holders from their fraud", said Baptista of
UnifiedRoot et. al., "these people have attempted to highjack the
inclusive namespace, claimed it as their own, and pretented to sell
something they have no right to sell in the first place."
Karl Peters, a Director of the TLDA has voluntered to investigate claims
UnifiedRoot and INAIC have used references to Inclusive Name Space. Mr.
Peters will be reporting his findings to the TLDA Board.
